Donna Mae Rylander

Donna Mae (Martz) Rylander, 92, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, September 14, 2026. She was born September 26, 1933 and raised in Ardara, a daughter of the late John and Flora (Pringle) Martz and was the youngest of eight children. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Rylander Sr., sons Ralph D. Rylander Jr. and John S. Rylander, a daughter, Karen Rylander, a grandson Lanny Sellman, brothers Jack, Ted, Ronnie, and Dick Martz, and sisters Reedy Watson, Lois Brown, and Elaine Martz. She is survived by her children Joanne (Jim) Johnson of Littleton, Colorado, Jennie (Terry) Hunter of Irwin and Lisa (Greg) Bailie of North Huntingdon; her daughter in law Tracie Rylander; her grandchildren Jeremy Johnson, Amanda (Bryan) Bischoff, Emily (David) Rohr, Shawna (the late Danny) Cedar, Michael (Miranda) Sellman, Timmy Sepanski, Ralph “Buddy” Rylander III, Diane (Chris) Baranski, Tera Hunter, Al (Heather) Hunter, Brian Pelt, Lee (Heather) Hunter, Megan Bindrim, David (Tiffany) Mlinarich, and Hannah (Cory) Beam; her great-grandchildren: Samara, Bella and Eli Cedar, Jacob, Aubrey, Bethany Sellman, Rachel (Tony Yannuzzo) Rylander, Raelynn (Evyn Cox) Rylander, Rhianna Rylander, Janie (Cameron) Taylor, Ellie (Jack Malony) Wilcox, Caroline Wilcox, Grace and Natalie Pelt, Vienna and Paityn Bindrim, and Maddox and Collin Mlinarich; also many nieces and nephews including very special niece, Carole (Rick) Lacina. Donna loved and was exceptional in her talents of crocheting, quilt making, and sewing in general. She was generous to a fault easily helping family and friends in need. She read the newspaper religiously especially the obituaries. She attended North Huntingdon High School Class of 1952. Donna was active in the activities department at Transitions Healthcare where she resided for the last two years. She was elected president of their resident council and was proud of that position. The family would like to thank Transitions Healthcare and Family Hospice for the care and compassion during her stay especially Justin, Margo, Diane, Kaylan, and Heather. Per Donna’s wishes there will be no public visitation. The family will host a Celebration of Life in the near future. Donations can be made to the Norwin Pubic Library in her memory.
