William G. Greenaway Jr.

William G. Greenaway Jr., 74, of North Huntingdon died Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was born December 14, 1947 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late William G. Sr. and Jane (Yenich) Greenaway. Bill was retired as director of international sourcing for Wabtec where he started working at the age of 18. He was a member of Norwin Elks and the Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club and was a veteran of the US Army reserves. He was a world traveler through his employment and an avid golfer. His passion was his family, taking care of their needs and spending time with them on family vacations. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Amelia “Amy” (Volpe) Greenaway; his daughter Lisa (Tommy) Meyers of Robinson Township; his grandson Joseph William Leonello; a brother Dennis (Peggy) Greenaway and a sister Mary Jane (Frank) Hixon; a brother in law Tom Ryan; nieces and nephews Tommy, Heather, Pammy, Denny, Jennifer, and Billy; and many many friends. He was loved by his wife, daughter, grandson, family and friends and will be sorely missed. He was the captain of the ship. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park.
