Rosemary Daugherty

January 25, 1929 - June 8, 2021

Rosemary (Loeffler) Daugherty, 92, of East McKeesport, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was born January 25, 1929 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Jaycox) Loeffler and was also preceded in death by her husband William M. Daugherty and a sister Mavis Fuhr. She was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish (formerly St. Robert Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport) where she was a member of the church choir for over 40 years. She also sang in the Heinz Chapel Choir at her beloved University of Pittsburgh and had a lifelong love of music. Rosemary was a former secretary at Auberle Home. She looked forward to her annual family vacation in her home away from home, Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Surviving are her children John (Joann) Daugherty of Wake Forest, NC, James (Pennie) Daugherty of Brownsville, Daniel (Grace) Daugherty of Murrysville, Gerald (Kristin) Daugherty of Belle Vernon, and Diane (Jeff) McNeill of East McKeesport; beloved family members Denise Dillinger and Terri Shedlock; her grandchildren Jeremy (Emily) Daugherty, Stephanie Daugherty, Melissa (Aaron) Myers, Allison Daugherty, Casey (Justin) Lewis, Shea (Patrick) McGraw, Shannon (Justin) Abraham, Amy McNeill, Joshua McNeill, Ryan Daugherty, Christopher Daugherty, Jaxson Daugherty, Riley Daugherty, and Dane Daugherty; her great grandchildren Ellis, Caldwell, Mason, Campbell Rose, and Harrison; siblings, Alan (Margie) Loeffler of GA, Melissa Wallace of Greentree, and Carolyn McMinn of NY; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
