Mildred S. "Millie" Tarbuk Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mildred Stella “Millie” (Zak) Tarbuk, 93, of East McKeesport, died Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Manorcare in Monroeville. She was born March 14, 1927 in Star Junction, a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Sergua) Zak and was also preceded in death by her husband Melana “Mel” Tarbuk and brothers Stanley “Babe” and Frank Zak. Millie was a cashier at Sun Drug, Great Valley Shopping Center, for many years. She was an active person who until a few years ago enjoyed monthly dinners with her high school classmates. She never missed bingo, enjoyed going to the casino, and was a big Pittsburgh sports fan especially the Penguins and Steelers. Millie was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, St. Robert Bellarmine Church. She was loved by her family and was the built in nanny for all her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Gary M. Tarbuk and his wife Cherie of Level Green and James Tarbuk and his wife Debbie of North Versailles; her grandchildren Christy (Mark) Tressler, Melissa (Josiah) Henry, Gary (Christina) Tarbuk, Brian (Annette) Tarbuk, Shawna Woodward, and Shannon Woodward; her great grandchildren Makenna, Mykah, Paytan, Gary, Maddie, Kylie, Brian R., Matthew, Isaac, Jordan, and Jackson; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport. Due to the pandemic only 25 people will be permitted in the funeral home at one time. Upon arriving you may be asked to remain in your vehicle for a few minutes until others leave the building. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the family Wednesday at Mary Mother of God Church, St. Robert Bellarmine worship site. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
