Marion (Painter) MacIntosh, 80, of Irwin, passed away Friday May 6, 2022. She was born March 16, 1942 in Irwin, a daughter of the late Thomas C. Painter and Agnes (Brown) Painter. Marion was a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church and was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry's first Dental Hygienist program. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, and gardening. The family would like to give a special Thank You to the staff at Barnes Place and Excela Hospice for all of their care and compassion that they have provided. In addition to her parents Marion is preceded in death by her husband Robert T. MacIntosh and brother in-law Dana Taylor. She is survived by her children Barbara (Richard) Hazlett of Irwin and Robert T. (Jennifer) MacIntosh Jr. of Irwin, grandchildren Rachael Hazlett, Meredith MacIntosh, and Wesley MacIntosh, brothers and sisters Thomas (Patricia) Painter of Atlanta, GA and Bonnie Taylor of Savannah, GA, brother and and sister in-laws Donald MacIntosh and Isabel (Joe) Blatney, also several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, 8 West Hempfield Drive, Irwin, PA 15642. Those attending please go directly to the church.
