Margaret (Watson) Claar, 96, of Apollo, formerly of North Huntingdon, died Saturday August 25, 2018. She was born November 12, 1921 in Irwin, a daughter of the late William O. and Ella Mae (Wilding) Watson and was also preceded in death by her husband James A. Claar and siblings Bud Watson and Geraldine Hursh. She was a self-employed artist and a founding member of the Norwin Art League. She was a former longtime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Larimer, and formerly active with the East Vandergrift Senior Center. She is survived by her children James Claar of Apollo and Karen (Steve) Joseph of Export; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a brother Jay (Sandy) Watson of Safety Harbor, FL; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
