Leonard S. Baranowski, 63, of Delmont, passed away Wednesday November 21, 2018. He was born October 21, 1955 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Leonard S. and Theresa (Marchilena) Baranowski. Len was a retired supervisor of transportation for the U.S. Postal Service and a Marine veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin, the Knights of Columbus, Shidle Lodge, No. 601 Free & Accepted Masons, Tall Cedars, and Syria Temple, where he was a member of the clown unit known by the clown name “Odds”. He also loved to golf and was a member of the Bromas Club golf and bowling leagues. He loved cop shows especially Blue Bloods and the show M.A.S.H. and loved to travel. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Fran (Muir) Baranowski; his children Dana Marie Baranowski of Delmont, and Adam Charles Baranowski and his wife Amber of West Newton; his sister Dolores Heisler of Virginia; nieces Danielle Heisler and Erin Heisler and her husband James; also his pet dog Taz. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A Blessing service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. A clown funeral service will held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home followed by a masonic funeral service. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made in Len’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Shriners Hospitals, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
