James “Jas” L. Ciongoli, age 81, of Manor passed away Monday, January 10, 2022. He was born November 19, 1940 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late James and Mildred Ciongoli. He was a proud Army veteran that went onto drive tanker trucks for Mobile and then Gutman Oil for over 35 years. After retiring, he repaired garage doors and openers and was a frequent patron of the Manor Grill. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Dottie Ciongoli; and brother Eugene Ciongoli. He is survived by his wife of over 59 years Rosalie Ciongoli; children Jamie McClain of Manor and James Ciongoli of Paintertown; grandchildren Lindsey, Kelsey, Cody, Shanna and Mackenzie; great grandchildren P.J. and Ryan; and sisters Barbara (Sam) Oplinger of Manor and Arvella (Jay) Steele of Palm Springs, California. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday for a funeral service with Rev. Eric Dennis officiating. Interment will follow at Brush Creek Cemetery in Irwin.
