May 19, 1961 - August 29, 2019
Frank Restagno, 58, of Export, PA, passed away August 29, 2019 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Kimberly (Wilson) Restagno, his stepdaughters Kris (Hamm) Johnson and husband Josh and Kelley (Hamm) Wilbanks and husband John. Frank had 8 grandchildren, Christian, Zachary, Kayla, Gabriella, Nathan, Hannah, Keller and Kelsey. They will miss their pappy very much. He also had 11 nieces and nephews, Kati, Miranda, Joe, Meghan, Rachael, Danielle, Toni, Anthony, Angel, Bianca and Gianna. Born in Roslindale, MA, Frank was the son of Frank Restagno Sr. and the late Lucia (Lucy) Grace. He was the brother of Salvatore Restagno and wife Kelly, Maria (Restagno) Costa and husband Lenny, Ignatius Michael Restagno and partner Debra Shanahan, and Rosalia (Restagno) Bullock and husband Tim. After growing up in the Boston area, Frank often shared fond childhood memories of visiting the bakeries in the North End with his grandfather. His love of Italian pastries and Boston sports carried on through the years. Aside from watching his beloved Patriots, Frank enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, traveling, as well as spending time with family and his “fur kids.” Frank was a carpenter by trade though his true calling was as a Youth Pastor, a mentor and a missionary. He served as a Youth Leader influencing the lives of teenagers for over 25 years at Faith Chapel Assemblies of God in Bridgewater, MA and Flame of Fire Covenant Church (formerly Glad Tidings Assemblies of God) in Abington, MA. With a passion for missionary work and ministry, Frank led trips to Peru, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and Navajo Nation. He is remembered as a man of faith, dog lover, avid Boston sports fan and relentless prankster. His selfless heart, daunting but infectious laughter and passion for life was larger than life itself. Above all, Frank was a servant leader; always putting the needs of others before his own. His legacy is defined by the sacrifice and care he showed for the countless lives he touched as a father figure, a teacher and friend. At the family’s request there will be no viewing. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at 1:00 Saturday September 7, 2019 at the Locust Pavilion in Oak Hollow Park, 2130 Timothy Dr, North Huntington Pa 15642. We will celebrate Frank’s life again at a later date in Massachusetts. Information for this service will be posted on his Facebook page. In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made to either Shepherd’s Beyond Borders, P.O Box 104, West Enfield, Maine 04493 or Cornerstone Ministries, 2200 Cornerstone Lane, Murrysville, Pa 15632. Please note in memo; Frank Restagno Youth-Missions. These were two organizations that were close to his heart.
