Clarence "Sonny" W. Everett

Clarence “Sonny” W. Everett, age 88, of Trafford, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He was born October 22, 1934 in Larimer, a son of the late Clarence and Mary (Richey) and stepmother, Leah Everett. He was a member of Cornerstone Ministries in Export. He worked for over 45 years as a Coil Winder and Finisher for Westinghouse in Wilmerding (Air Break), East Pittsburgh and Cheswick where he retired. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Debra Everett and brother Howard Everett. He is survived by and will be missed by his wife of over 67 years Janice Everett; children Teresa (Michael) Pedicone of Derry, Sheree (David) Johnson of Youngwood, Mary Everett of Mt. Pleasant, David (Karyn) Everett of North Huntingdon and Dana (Gregg) Bethune of North Huntingdon; his 6 grandchildren Gabrielle and Amelia Bethune, Kylie Everett, Glenn and Jennifer Speece, and Steven Sistek; and 2 great grandchildren Louie and Fantasia, who will all miss their Pappy; and sister Catherine Crupie of Larimer. Jan and Clarence spent many years in Manor, PA raising their six children before moving to Level Green (Trafford). Throughout Clarence’s life, he worked hard to provide for his family who meant everything to him. He loved trying to fix things, working on cars, and had great pride in his garden, but there was nothing he enjoyed more than family gatherings and holiday celebrations. In his younger years, he loved playing all sports, and ended his sports career golfing at Irwin Country Club with his buddies Orville, John, Babe, Denny and Pat. He never missed a Steelers game and loved all Pittsburgh teams – he truly bled black and gold. Every night he enjoyed evening sports talk with his son. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank or Light of Light Mission. We would like to thank Transitions Healthcare in N. Huntingdon for their compassion and care in Clarence’s last days. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday June 2nd at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200.
