Albert Balister, 94, of Irwin, died Saturday August 7, 2021. He was born June 29, 1927 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Albert John and Margaret (Gagliano) Balistreri. He was a WWII and Korean Conflict Navy veteran and a retired drafting engineer for Westinghouse, Bettis Atomic Plant. He was a charter member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church. He was past master of East Liberty Lodge No. 725, now Chartiers Valley Lodge No. 725, Free and Accepted Masons, and a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh, Masonic Veterans, and Syria Temple. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marianne (Strange) Balister; his sons David A. of Baytown, TX, A. Michael and Tina of Weirton, WV, and Raymond L. and Sabrina of Colorado Springs, CO; and his grandchildren Adrian, Julian, Michael John, Megan and Jessica; and great granddaughter Emma. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Masonic funeral service will be held Wednesday evening in the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, Irwin, 15642, with Rev. Andrew Wirt, officiating. Those attending the funeral service go directly to the church. Private entombment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park.
