Kathleen (Langan) Streets

Kathleen Streets, 72, of North Huntington was called home by God on October 24, 2024. She was born May 8, 1952 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Robert and Johanna (Liebfried) Langan. Kathy graduated from Quakertown Community High School and then furthered her education at the Allentown School of Cosmetology, leading to an early career as a Beautician. Kathy’s husband, Ray, was the love of her life. They shared over 51 wonderful years together, facing life’s challenges hand in hand. They had known each other since they were kids and were neighbors growing up, creating a bond that lasted a lifetime. After their two sons were born, Kathy devoted herself to caring for her family. She was a deeply loving mother, always there for her sons and willing to do anything for her family. With a special fondness for dogs, Kathy made sure they were always an integral part of the family. At one point, she even had four dogs at the same time. Her faithful companion, Grace, was always by her side, offering unconditional love and support, especially during the last couple of years of Kathy’s life. Her immense passion for quilting and all things crafts filled her home with beautiful decorations and quilts she lovingly sewed together. Kathy’s talents for sewing, quilting, and crafting were truly remarkable. Her husband often took her to Lancaster, where they could explore for days, indulging in her hobbies. She shared her talents as a valued member of the Irwin Garden Club, Norwin Quilters, and the CBS Bible Study. Kathy was also a committed member of St. Agnes Church, and her faith played a central role in her daily life. Even in the toughest times, she turned to God and placed her trust in Him. Her incredible talents brought so much beauty into the world, but she was most proud of her family. Her creativity shone brightly as she thoughtfully crafted her sons’ Halloween costumes over the years, filling their home with joy and laughter. She found great happiness in making every day with her granddaughter special like always being ready for a Disney adventure and creating magical memories that will be cherished forever. Kathy’s warm presence, unwavering faith, and boundless love for her family and friends were the foundations of her life. Her memory will be treasured by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Streets; her two sons, Joseph (Kaity) Streets of Murrysville and Nicholas (Samantha) Streets of Cranberry Township; granddaughter Mia; brother, Robert (Christi) Langan. The care provided by Dr. Hsu and his team at the Hillman Cancer Center will always be greatly appreciated by Kathy and her family. Friends and family will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Noon Monday, October 28, at St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon, those attending please meet at the church. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.
