Robert Pietro Miceli

Robert Pietro Miceli, 85, of North Huntingdon, died peacefully at home Saturday, February 4, 2023, with his wife of 40 years by his side. Bob was born on March 23, 1937 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Fidelis and Mary (Falvo) Miceli. Bob graduated from Westinghouse High School where he played his favorite sport, football. He continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh. After college he joined the Army and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Bob was the owner of Reliable Ornamental Iron Works in Pittsburgh for over 50 years. In his later years he was a loan originator for Money Tree Financial in Monroeville. Bob was very proud of his Italian heritage and was an active member of ISDA, Dante Alighieri Chapter holding the position of Head Trustee. Bob was also an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Manor and was a trustee. Bob also volunteered his time at the Westmoreland County Food Bank, Manor food pantry, and Meals on Wheels. Bob was a car enthusiast, owning a 1987 El Camino and often participated in parades and car shows. Bob and his wife Judie had a beautiful yard and they were always together, whether it was working in it or just enjoying it on the swing in their back yard. Bob was a true gentleman, always put his family first, had charisma, and was truly a special person and we are beyond thankful to have had him in our lives. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Judith, his children Tammy (Jack) Grimes, Jodi (partner Jim), Jill (fiancé Brian) Bernard, and James (Gretchen) Bernard along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Terry Evans and the staff at UPMC Arnold Palmer Center in Latrobe for all the care given over the last 24 years. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev.
