Jon "Steve" Steven Adams

A great man was lost this past weekend. Jon “Steve” Steven Adams, age 66, of North Irwin passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born October 4, 1955 in Greensburg, a son of the late Jon R. and Kay F. (Marsden) Adams. Steve worked in automotive repair since he was 15 years old, and spent over 35 years working as an automotive collision painter for Cochran in Monroeville, earning two "Top Gun" painter's awards before retiring. Most recently, he enjoyed employment as a vehicle transporter for Enterprise Holdings. He was a fiercely devoted family man and well known and respected in the community, spending several years as a member of the North Irwin volunteer fire department, even holding the office of lieutenant for a period of time. He was a social man that loved to tell his vibrant life stories, and he ensured that anyone he met wasn't a stranger for long. He loved all things automotive and enjoyed staying apprised of the latest trends in technology. He always found new projects to engage with and passed on his passions to his kids and grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son Jon Cody Adams; and brother James "Doug” Adams. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Justine A. (Tyger) Adams; children Rosemary (Jason) Ferraro of Manor, William (Melissa) Adams of North Huntingdon, Abbie (Michael) Mardis of New Stanton and Molly (Lewis) Frye of White Oak; grandchildren Jon Adams, Violet Depp, Declan Depp, Adreanna Ferraro, Scarlet Mardis, Madelyn Adams, Nolan Mardis, Dominick Ferraro, Finley Adams and Marilyn Mardis; brother Scott (Mindy) Adams of Florida and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Steve will always be remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his family and friends. Steve always made time to show up for his kids and be a part of their lives no matter how far apart geographically they were. We'll always love and miss you dad, you and mom gave us a model to live up to and we will keep your legacy alive through the generations you lovingly created.
